When your invitation will come ,
I’ll ask for the lifetime happiness.
On that day you will take away all my pain and give me your best gift.
You will extend both of your arms
and pull me to your chest
On that day I will know that all the debts of mine in this world have been paid ,
There will be no tears in that day,
There will be a beautiful smile all over the eyes.
The melody will not play that day, No singing ,
Only I will remain silent with the flute .
On that day I will offer all the achievements of this life at your feet.
Those shots will create a new chapter in your contact
I know the wind will cry that day
The water in the river will start vibrating,
You will come to pick me up for my best work
All the bonds will be broken ,
Only memories will haunt me,
Forgetting the darkness,
everyone will light the house on that day
I will say then that nothing in this world was bad, everything was good.

অবনীন্দ্রনাথ দাস
যে দিন তোমার আসবে নিমন্ত্রণ
সেদিন আমি চাইবো সুখ
সেই তো চিরন্তন ।
সকল ব্যথা যন্ত্রণার করবে অবসান
দেবে আমায় উজাড় ক’রে
শ্রেষ্ঠ তোমার দান ।
দু ই বাহু প্রসার ক’রে টানবে তোমার বুকে
জানবো সেদিন —
এই পৃথিবীর সকল ঋণ গেছে আমার চুকে ।
অশ্রু তো নয়, নয়ন জুড়ে—
থাকবে মধুর হাসি ,
বাজবে না সুর গাইবে না গান নীরব হবে বাঁশি ,
এই জীবনের প্রাপ্তি যাহা
সমর্পণ করবো তোমার পায় ,
তোমার ছোঁয়ায় সৃষ্টি হবে নতুন এক অধ্যায় ।
জানি সেদিন কাঁদবে বাতাস
নদীর জল করবে টলমল ,
আনতে মোরে আসবে তুমি এযে শ্রেষ্ঠ কর্ম ফল !
সকল মায়ার বাঁধন সেদিন ছিঁড়ে
রাখবে শুধু স্মৃতি আমায় ঘিরে
আঁধার ভুলে সবাই তখন জ্বালবে গৃহে আলো
বলবো আমি মন্দ তো নয় !
এই পৃথিবীর ছিল সকল ভালো ।
